Mourir sur Scène
January 27 - February 13, 2026
Hollywood Forever Cemetery,
Cathedral Mausoleum
As obnoxious as it is to name this piece in French, I couldn’t resist.

"Mourir sur scène" translates as “To Die on Stage.”
It is the title of a song popularized by Dalida in 1983, with lyrics that imagine a performer wanting to die beneath the spotlights, in the act of performance itself.
This is the kind of psychodrama I recognize in dying floral materials—tragic yes, but from a few steps back, so fabulous.

The arrangement is made from fresh material that will wilt, collapse, and dry over the course of the exhibition.

Thanks to the Hollywood Forever Cemetery for making this possible.
